Developmental Ministry

"Where there is no vision, the people perish…" |
The above Scriptural text is the underlying purpose of the Developmental Ministry. It is true, that if time and effort are not put forth in planning for the future the community of believers will be lost. Lost in the sense of not knowing which way to go, as well as ultimately being lost, spiritually. Several brothers have been charged with the responsibility of analyzing the present condition of the church, and creating a five-year plan to enable the church to grow and mature. This growth is not only spiritually, but numerically and physically.
The Developmental Ministry in 1993 introduced a five year program. There was never anything put in writing other than general objectives that ended in 1997.
The next planning cycle was 1998-2002. In 2000, we initiated Vision 2002. Vision 2000 was a congregational request for each family to donate 2k for our future building program. To date, the congregation has contributed over $30,000.00 toward this effort.
We are presently in the planning cycle of 2003-2007. During this current cycle, we are not planning on any major improvements, but in securing ourselves financially for the next planning cycle, which is 2008-2012.
This cycle will include the following goals:
The purchasing of land for development.
Building a new facility.
Incorporate a multi-purpose center within the new building.
Food distribution to the community.
